We are looking to create a first-time mentorship opportunity for our students by pairing them with a skilled business analyst at your company who can mentor and support our students through a small project.

The Workplace and Wellness Health Promotion program, facilitated by Centennial College's School of Community and Health Studies, is one of the first graduate certificate programs of its kind in Canada. As such, it enjoys a respected national and international reputation and is recognized by leading employers. The Workplace and Wellness Health Promotion program will prepare students to promote the total well-being of individuals and groups within corporate and community contexts. If you have a health and wellness related project, bring on one or more students to be your interns for 14-weeks to help. Students are available for 462 hours of placement over 14 weeks, beginning January 2025. The placements are on an unpaid basis. This experience is designed for learners with a blend of creative and technical skills, focusing on web design and development using the WIX platform. Participants will collaborate with industry professionals to create visually engaging and functional websites that showcase multimedia content. By applying their classroom knowledge, learners will develop websites that integrate video, audio, photography, and motion graphics, ensuring seamless navigation and user experience. This project-oriented approach allows learners to refine their skills in web design, user interface, and user experience, while providing tangible benefits to participating companies.

This experience is designed for graduate students specializing in data mining, machine learning, and data science. These learners are equipped with skills in analyzing complex datasets, developing predictive models, and creating compelling visualizations. The objective is to apply these skills to real-world projects, enabling students to translate theoretical knowledge into practical solutions. By engaging in these projects, learners will enhance their problem-solving abilities and gain valuable experience in delivering actionable insights.

Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on learners from the University of Toronto to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Learners in this program/experience focus on leadership skills like self-awareness, visioning and goal-setting, performance feedback, creative problem-solving and decision-making, inclusive leadership and negotiation/conflict resolution. They bring their current research-based knowledge to bring insights to resolve your organizational challenges!

This experience is designed for learners who have been introduced to human resource practices in Canada, focusing on enhancing organizational performance, productivity, and profitability. Participants will have a foundational understanding of key HR functions such as diversity management, recruitment, training, compensation, and employee rights. By applying their classroom knowledge, learners can contribute to real-world projects that improve HR processes and strategies, benefiting both the learners and participating employers.

This experience immerses learners in the practical application of engineering design principles, focusing on sustainable practices and multidisciplinary collaboration. Participants will leverage their skills in CAD software, project management, and technical communication to tackle real-world engineering challenges. By engaging in hands-on projects, learners will refine their ability to define problems, develop optimal design solutions, and integrate sustainability into their engineering decisions. This experience is designed to bridge classroom knowledge with industry-relevant projects, preparing learners to contribute effectively to engineering teams.
