In 2019, RBC Future Launch and Riipen launched a partnership with the goal of increasing access to high-impact work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities for Canadian post-secondary students Our shared mission: to help prepare learners, particularly those from underserved communities, for the Future of Work. By the end of 2022, the RBC-Riipen partnership has delivered over 27,000 online WIL experiences, to a wide diversity of learners and educational partners across Canada with the potential of delivering over 250,000 by 2026.

Our students have the skills to create and manage organizational process change as well as an understanding of how to gather, document, and communicate stakeholder requirements. Students are well suited to recommend and evaluate solutions, provide quality assurance criteria, perform some data modeling and project management. We are looking to create a first-time mentorship opportunity for our students by pairing them with a skilled business analyst at your company who can mentor and support our students through a small project.

Winter 2026 Workplace Wellness and Health Promotion Placements

The Workplace and Wellness Health Promotion program, facilitated by Centennial College's School of Community and Health Studies, is one of the first graduate certificate programs of its kind in Canada. As such, it enjoys a respected national and international reputation and is recognized by leading employers. The Workplace and Wellness Health Promotion program will prepare students to promote the total well-being of individuals and groups within corporate and community contexts. If you have a health and wellness related project, bring on one or more students to be your interns for 14-weeks to help. Students are available for 462 hours of placement over 14 weeks, beginning January 2025. The placements are on an unpaid basis. This experience is designed for learners with a blend of creative and technical skills, focusing on web design and development using the WIX platform. Participants will collaborate with industry professionals to create visually engaging and functional websites that showcase multimedia content. By applying their classroom knowledge, learners will develop websites that integrate video, audio, photography, and motion graphics, ensuring seamless navigation and user experience. This project-oriented approach allows learners to refine their skills in web design, user interface, and user experience, while providing tangible benefits to participating companies.

Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Learners in this program/experience focus on leadership skills like self-awareness, visioning and goal-setting, performance feedback, creative problem-solving and decision-making, inclusive leadership and negotiation/conflict resolution. They bring their current research-based knowledge to bring insights to resolve your organizational challenges!
