Details

Launch and scale SpaceBeacon’s YouTube channel and Shorts to drive brand awareness, demo plays, and Beacon One app installs. The intern will own strategy, production, optimization, and performance reporting for a steady cadence of long-form videos and Shorts repurposed across socials.

Deliverables

Key goals (measurable)

  • Produce 8–12 Shorts and 4–6 long-form videos during the project.
  • Increase channel visibility: grow subscribers and achieve target total views & watch time.
  • Drive action: generate demo plays and app installs via trackable CTAs (UTMs + promo codes).
  • Deliver a repeatable content playbook and a growth report with clear optimizations.

What students will learn / outcomes

  • Content strategy & editorial planning for long-form + short-form video.
  • Scriptwriting for tutorials, demos, and user stories that convert viewers to users.
  • Video production & editing workflow (mobile-friendly Shorts + 16:9 long videos).
  • YouTube SEO: keyword research, titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnail design.
  • Repurposing content across Instagram/TikTok and creating consistent cross-platform assets.
  • Analytics & growth: setting KPIs, analyzing watch-time, CTR, retention, and conversion metrics.
  • A/B testing formats, thumbnails, CTAs, and publishing times.
  • Creator outreach basics (optional): inviting creators/testimonials and integrating collaborations.

Deliverables

  1. Content strategy brief & publishing calendar (8–12 week plan).
  2. Production assets: 8–12 Shorts (15–60s) + 4–6 long-form videos (3–8 min) — final files + upload-ready metadata.
  3. 8–12 thumbnail images and 8–12 repurposed social clips and captions for Instagram/TikTok.
  4. SEO work: researched keywords, final titles, descriptions, tags, and timestamped chapters.
  5. A/B test plan and results (at least 2 experiments: thumbnail vs thumbnail; short format A vs B).
  6. Growth report (end of internship): analytics dashboard, KPI performance, lessons learned, and a 30-/60-/90-day roadmap.

Suggested timeline / milestones (12 weeks)

  • Week 1: Onboarding, channel audit, audience & keyword research, content calendar.
  • Week 2–3: Scriptwriting, storyboards, create templates (thumbnail, caption).
  • Week 4–9: Production pipeline — film + edit Shorts and long-form; publish 1–2 pieces/week.
  • Week 10: Run A/B tests; optimize metadata & thumbnails.
  • Week 11: Aggregate analytics and measure KPIs.
  • Week 12: Deliver final growth report, case study, and next-steps roadmap.

Assessment criteria / evaluation

  • Quality & consistency of produced videos and repurposed assets.
  • Achievement vs targets: number of videos produced, subscriber growth, total views, watch time, demo plays, and installs attributed to campaign.
  • Data-driven recommendations: clarity of A/B test insights and actionable roadmap.
  • Professionalism: meeting deadlines, collaboration, and presentation of final report.

Supervision & mentorship

  • Weekly 1:1 with SpaceBeacon growth lead + bi-weekly review with founder.
  • Access to brand assets, demo clips, and a small ad budget for 1 paid experiment.
  • Feedback loop for creative drafts and approval before publishing.
